The Outdoor Writers Association of California selected Casting Around the Eastern Sierra for 2nd Place Best Guidebook of 2018. The book and other award winners were honored at a recent banquet in Mount Shasta, California.
To celebrate, I went fishing for the world famous McCloud River rainbows in their native waters. The Mount Shasta area is beautiful, mellow and over-looked for its quality fishing scene. Chuck and his team at Orvis endorsed Wild Waters Fly Fishing are top notch, too.
